I’m Shaye, the founder & creator of Black Women Read Too Bookclub. Over the years, I’ve witnessed the incredible power that emerges when Black women gather to share their stories, set intentions, and support one another.
Our book club has become a safe haven — a place where we can be ourselves, lift each other up, and dream without limits. So often, Black women are the caregivers, the providers, the strong ones. We show up for everyone else while quietly putting our own joy, rest, and personal growth on hold. This community was created to change that. This year, I want to take our sisterhood to the next level by hosting our 4th & final Vision Board Party.
This isn’t just a craft night — it’s a moment of clarity, empowerment, and connection. It’s a space where women (and their daughters) can pause, reflect, and dream out loud, intentionally planning the lives they want to create alongside others who truly understand their lived experiences.
For many of our members, financial barriers make it difficult to say yes to opportunities like this — even when they deeply need it. Your donation helps sponsor Black women and their daughters who otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend.
It helps cover entry, materials, and experiences that allow them to sit in a room filled with encouragement instead of stress… possibility instead of survival… sisterhood instead of isolation.
When you give, you’re not funding a party. You’re investing in mental wellness, personal growth, community connection, and Black women feeling seen, supported, and celebrated. Every contribution — no matter the size — goes directly toward creating a safe, beautiful, and intentional space where our book club sisters can reconnect with themselves and each other.
Thank you for pouring into sisterhood and helping us create a space where women and their daughters can dream again.
