We found out this evening that our baby has a foreign body in his stomach that he is unable to pass. We were given two options. Surgery to remove the object, or euthanasia. His name is Jijivisha, Visha for short. It means “the intense desire to live”. He earned his name because when he was 8 weeks old, he developed a bowel obstruction. We nursed him as best as we could for a week, every evening thinking it would be his last. Once he got down to 0.7lbs, we handed him over to Sunnybrae Animal Clinic. They warned us he probably wouldn’t make it overnight, but true to his name, his intense desire to live, kept him around. We cannot let this 3 year old miracle boy die this evening. We have to give him one last fighting chance. We’re anticipating a $5,000 vet bill, and with our heads humbly down, we mercilessly ask you for a financial helping hand.
