Thank you for reading about Viserra's story. My name is Evie-may and my cat Viserra is sick and requires further tests that her current vets cannot offer. This go fund me is set up to try to raise half of the money for the CT scan and epilepsy screening she desperately needs.

About Viserra:

Before becoming ill Viserra was the most friendly, gentle and outgoing of all my cats. She was always ready for attention and would greet everyone who came to my flat. She was incredibly graceful and loved playing with her favourite toys. Viserra was one of 5 in her litter. When I went to get Viserra I also brought home her brother Sir Fluffington the first. They are best friends and are usually cuddled up next to each other or getting into mischief. Viserra came into my life at a very hard time and helped me through so many tough times. She is a once in a lifetime cat and it is a privilege to love her and know her.

Why she needs treatment:

Her illness started with 3 seizures followed by lots of unexplained neurological symptoms. Her current vets have done 2 rounds of blood tests, and 2 heart scans and a scan of her liver. The first bloods showed a problem with her liver however the second blood test (a specialised test for a liver shunt) came back within "normal" parameters. Both her heart scans were relatively normal apart from a possibly congenital heart murmer. Her liver scan showed smaller than normal blood vessels and a smaller than normal liver.

The vets she is with are unable to give her the CT scan and epilepsy screening they say she needs. They have told me the only option is to go private for her CT scan and epilepsy screening. However there are no vets near me that offer a payment plan for these tests and all have said I need to pay upfront for her to even be seen.

She in my opinion is deteriorating daily with multiple symptoms the vets are very worried about but have limited means to investigate. She currently sleeps for around 20 hours a day, struggles to walk and when she can walk usually walks in circles. She has been prescribed diazapam incase of another seizure however I have been warned if she seizes for over 5 minutes it will likely cause catastrophic damage and she will need to be put down.

What the money is for:

Since Viserra becoming unwell I have spent almost 100% of my time with her as she cannot be left alone for extended periods of time incase she seizes again. I've also spent the majority of my time trying to list my possessions for sale online. While I have started selling my possessions to try and raise enough money for her treatment a CT scan with epilepsy screening costs roughly £3000 in my area. This fundraiser is for £2,200 as I have managed to raise £500 by selling my things and hope to make another £300 to get to the £3000 goal.
