Vi’s Gender Affirming Care Fund

Seven years after starting my journey to transition ️‍⚧️, I am finally able to receive gender affirming care, including a number of surgeries. To have this care available to me is something I have dreamt about for many years, and is now a dream coming true; I’m getting a breast augmentation! My consultation is set for February 23rd, after which I will have a date for the surgery. My hope is to have this surgery around mid-May. While insurance is a big help, I do still have an out-of-pocket financial goal to reach, and I am creating this GoFundMe in hopes that I may raise funds to help cover the remaining cost of surgery, and also provide myself with a cushion to support myself as I will not be able to work for several weeks while I heal. Preparing for the next steps in my journey ahead has been no easy feat, there have been a number of hurdles for me to jump as a transgender woman, but I have leapt over every single one to get here and have had an amazing community of family and friends next to me every step of the way.
