Virtually Vocal
Donation protected
For the past two years, I have taught voice lessons in two local high schools with a handful of additional students in my studio; these forty-odd students accounted for significant portion of my income. When the pandemic began, lessons ceased, as singing is now something of a dangerous activity.
I have been unable to offer virtual lessons primarily due to the fact that my computer is ten years old and does not run consistently well enough to keep up with the demands of video conferencing, with glacial loading speeds and frequent freezing.
I need your help to finance a new laptop and quality noise-cancelling headphones in order to teach lessons. I have included some additional expenses to help get my quarantine hustle off the ground. With a website, I'll be able to expand my reach as a teacher, performer, and composer. Likewise, I am planning to offer collections of my original sacred songs and hymn arrangements (as solo singing will be more necessary until a vaccine allows for choral singing again), and the upgrade to my notation software would assist in that endeavor. I am additionally working on new musical theatre projects suitable for the zoom-era.
$600 -- Laptop
$200 -- Website construction
$150 -- Finale software upgrade
$100 -- Noise-cancelling headphones
$50 -- Fees, taxes, shipping, etc.
Your support means a great deal to me, and I would be so grateful for your help to get my studio back up and running, and more music back in the world.
