The Soulful Chicago Book Fair came to an abrupt halt with the coming of Covid. It changed a flourishing opportunity for supporting Black literature, both for lovers of Black lit and Black authors. This turned into a year of no Soulful Chicago Book Fair and an impact to the livelihood of thousands of people.
To be cause over the situation, preventing any further cease to our collective literary progress, we decided to create a VIRTUAL Soulful Chicago Book Fair. We're not talking about selling books from small zoom boxes. This is a full fledged virtual literary world where we as digital avatars talk , clap, dance, sell books, interact, attend workshops and symposiums t, he way we would in the real world.
In this virtual world, the writing continues, the poetry continues, the reading continues, the literary marketplace continues, the singing continues and literary legacies continue. Feeding the need to read and succeed will continue! Support this cause of breathing LITERARY LIFE into the South Side of Chicago.
