On July 6th, 2020 at 10:30 am, our beloved grandma Lila Kharel passed away at age 84. She took her last breath surrounded by family at her eldest son's residence in Little Canda, Minnesota.
She was born on August 8th, 1936 in Gairigaun Salleri, Chirang, Bhutan, and spent 17 years in Bhutanese Refugee Camp Sanischare before settling in Minnesota in 2009.
She is survived by 4 sons, 4 daughters-in-law, 4 daughters, 21 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
We are in deep sorrow over the loss of our beloved grandma and the backbone of our family. The values she instilled in us and the lessons that she taught us in perseverance will be something that we carry forward with us. We hope that she will watch over us forever and may she rest in peace.
Keeping the global pandemic in mind, we are moving the process of mano chamal and donations that used to happen in-person to a virtual setting. Friends and relatives who are inclined to donate may use this platform to make the donation in lieu of a personal visit.
Thank you,
The Kharel Family
