Online Scholarships for Underprivileged Youth

During the current pandemic, the educational needs of many underprivileged students have gone unfulfilled. In fact, while many children in the higher socio-economic strata of society were able to transition successfully from in-person to on-line learning, those on the lower end of the spectrum have not. Stemming from a direct lack of access to digital learning platforms, millions of low-income students will be left behind academically simply because they do not have the funds to access virtual learning platforms.

At CAPTIVATAR , we have repurposed our Virtual Campus to help fight the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, namely, the undereducation of our most vulnerable children. Indeed, we have dedicated our virtual solutions resources to host digital graduation ceremonies, provide virtual classrooms, auditoriums and conference centers, and facilitate digital learning. Unfortunately, many schoolboards are under extreme financial pressure and are unable to fund the $20/month cost necessary to ensure our underprivileged youth are not forgotten or left behind during the current crises.  As budgets shrink and family resources because strained, we are acutely aware that our most vulnerable students are falling further behind the education curve simply because they cannot afford to keep up with the new normal.

We are asking for you to helps us prevent this catastrophe for millions of students who lack access to virtual learning. Specifically, for each $20 in donations, CAPTIVATAR will provide a digital scholarship to a low-income student for the purpose of virtual learning or virtual graduations. 100% of these funds will be used to directly support students from some of the most economically challenged and hardest hit areas (such as NYC).
