Virtual half term challenge!

We are raising money for the John Fielding Special School PTA! Usually we would be planning, and getting very excited for our summer fayre but unfortunately that's not the case due to the current situation! However, we are looking forward and planning ahead for the new school site which is due to open in September 2021!
Although we will have a nice, shiny, new building, we will still need to fill it with exciting equipment and resources to support the development of our pupils. A lot of the specialist equipment can be very expensive, and therefore we rely on the support of our friends in the community in order to make our dreams and aspirations become a reality.
We have challenged our staff, pupils, parents, carers, families and friends to take part in a half term fun in the sun challenge! We have asked them to pick a physical activity of their choice and set themselves a challenge to complete during half term to raise money. We are very excited to see your pictures and videos! Richard, the head teacher at John Fielding, has set himself a challenge of running 5 miles a day every weekday, before 6am!!! Many of our pupils live with physical challenges each day but astound us with their personal determination to overcome their personal barriers. We are joining as a community to each have a go at pushing our boundaries and setting a challenge for ourselves.
