Virtual Acupuncture Training for Rachel Cachero
Rachel is a fellow veterinarian mom who I’ve
yet to meet in person, but have still become good friends with through DVMoms. As some of you may know, Rachel has a serious medical
condition. She has struggled to find doctors
who listen and follow through (for a very, long time). Rachel is a fighter and isn’t giving up,
but it makes traditional veterinarian jobs
impossible currently.
Rachel is a talented artist as well as a kick ass gardener (heartswellgardens.com)! Check her out!! However, she is trying her best to manage her family of two daughters, Zoe (10) and Ella (5) with her husband. This summer her husband has had some medical issues as well, and it is a LOT for any mama to handle. Since Rachel has some extra challenges to begin with, I wanted to help.
Her plan to help support her family was to study acupuncture. She even received a scholarship for IVAS and was planning to attend it this year when it was within driving distance. Covid cancelled it. The option for the next class would involve flying which isn’t a safe option for Rachel with her medical issues. She decided the next best option would be the CuraCore course since they have a virtual training option now. However, this course requires prepayment of the total amount (no payments) prior to starting.
The course is $8700. Rachel would love to train in both equine (large animal) and small animal. Once she finishes one course she could then eventually take the other ($3,250).
Rachel has some family that can help some financially with the course, but not the entire amount. I’d love to help her to achieve this goal soshe can continue to practice veterinary medicine and help support her family. And to make matters trickier, her disability insurance and subsequent partial income will soon be ending.
Rachel and her husband have two amazing daughters. Please consider donating. Any little bit is helpful and much appreciated.
Thank you so much,
