To help raise funds for the service, a couple of us have decided to run the Ealing Half Marathon in London on the 30th September 2018. There is four of us going to run this half marathon (13.1 Miles), Emer O'Reilly (Vera's daughter) and John Walsh. There will be further great help from Patrick Ward and Darren Carmody of Acton in London who will also run to raise funds.  

The Virginia Cancer Fund in County Cavan provided a wonderful service to Emer's mother Vera to bring her for her treatment in Dublin. The aim of this fund is to offer financial assistance to cancer patients by offering a taxi service to and from hospital appointments or to assist with transport costs or to offer home support. These services are run by local people for local people in County Cavan. This service is funded by the ongoing generosity of the people in the community and surrounding areas.
