Virginia's Dreams and Wishes

Donation protected
It is with sadness that our dear Virginia Coffman has joined the angels in heaven on February 26, 2019.

I have created this GoFundMe page for my cousin’s daughter, Christina, as the beneficiary to help with funeral expenses, care for her disable brother, John, school, and any additional costs at this time of need.

Virginia had fought brain and lung cancer since 2015. She had beaten the odds multiple times and came out a survivor. On January 31, 2019 Virginia was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and it spread to her cerebral spinal fluid. They found that the cancer came back so severe and aggressive that as each day passed, it quickly took her sense of freedom, independence, mobility and mind. She eventually exhibited signs of dementia, weakness, became bed bound and fell into a coma while in hospice.

Virginia was such a genuine person. She was feisty, strong, kind, hardworking and always had a smile on her face even during her toughest days. She had a great support system at her work (Grand Hyatt - DFW) with her coworkers and friends visiting her as often as possible, they have been nothing but caring and supportive during Virginia’s state and her family truly appreciates their support.

Virginia is survived by two children- John, 29, who is physically and intellectually disabled, lived with Virginia and watched over his mother as she fell ill; and Christina, 26, who currently resides in Las Vegas and is in a Bachelors of Science in Nursing program. She flew back and forth every weekend to visit and help out with her mom all while being in nursing school. Christina plans to move her brother to Las Vegas and care for him.

We’re raising money to help make sure Virginia’s children are taken care of and have a smooth transition. We all know how a terminal illness can be hard emotionally, mentally, and financially on a family. We just want to make sure Virginia’s children are taken care of so they can support each other during this difficult time.

Virginia celebrated her 50th birthday in a coma and joined the angels in heaven
Feb 26, 2019. We are so eternally grateful for knowing this loving person. She had captured and inspired so many lives.

Feel free to add any additional pictures of Virginia to remember her by.

Please share this post to as many people that you know. Keep sharing and praying. The entire family is so appreciative of all of your love and support.

With so much gratitude,
Kaila
