On July 5th Virgil was having a mellow evening with friends and family around a bonfire at his house.  As the fire wound down Virgil did as he always does, and attempted to fully extinguish the embers.  Before he could react, he found himself in a life threatening situation.  A spark had ignited a nearby bottle of lighter fluid and burst without warning. This engulfed Virgil in flames, luckily his wife Laura sprang into action. She extinguished the flames and called an ambulance. Even with Laura’s heroic actions, Virgil sustained serious injuries to his face, chest and arms.  The most serious of the injuries are to his left arm and hand. 

The good news is that as of July 15, he was able to return home and begin the next phase of his  recovery.  There is no definitive timeline for Virgil’s recovery, and he will need more time away from work to focus on his well-being.  In addition to Virgil being away from work, Laura will be his daily care taker.  We are looking to alleviate some of the stress on Virgil and his family by contributing towards his out of pocket medical expenses, lost wages for Laura, and miscellaneous additional expenses associated with this unfortunate accident.

Virgil is the heart of our company, as well as dear friend. He always steps up and follows through for everyone else. He is truly selfless and one of the hardest working people I know. Please help us come together, support, and follow through for Virgil in this time.
