Inspired by real evolutions in social media and humanity, Viral follows one woman's descent into chaos as she strives for virality in the digital space. Viral exists in the present and follows Meredith, a lifestyle micro influencer in the pursuit of internet fame. We will follow the ebbs and flows of what it takes to maintain relevance on social media and expose the toxicity of "the influencer," parasocial relationships, and cancel culture. In a trauma filled world where being an influencer is the #1 preferred occupation, Viral ultimately raises the question: how far would you go to "make it"?
