Memorial for Violette Grant (Blue)

Update as of 4/23 @7:15 pm: Thank you for your generosity! In less than a day, we’ve reached our $1800 goal to fund the project at Memorial Park and will continue the application process with the City of San Ramon. I’ve raised the target amount with a new goal of gifting the Blue Family a Door Dash gift card to take care of a few meals for them during this difficult time. Violette Grant, wife of Brent Blue and mother to 2nd grader Ella and 4th grader Gavin, tragically passed away on April 7, 2023. Violette had a sudden cardiac arrest. She was given immediate emergency and intensive care treatment but she did not regain consciousness. She passed peacefully, in her sleep, surrounded by her friends and family. As a devoted mother, she spent her time in volunteer roles at Golden View - as a room parent, as a PTA carnival chair, and as a field trip chaperone, just to name a few. She also prioritized helping Gavin and Ella pursue their passions for being active outdoors, whether at swim, at soccer, or just spending time with friends and their sweet puppy, Kona, at the park. To honor Violette’s spirit, the Golden View Elementary School community would like to commission a plaque in her honor at Memorial Park in San Ramon. Once we have raised $1800 (this amount will go straight to the City of San Ramon), any extra funds will be used to support the Blue family. At present, the family is grieving and will announce plans for a private memorial at a later date.
