Hi everyone, my name is Lidia. I am doing this GoFundMe for my niece and nephew, Kaeleen 18 and Caleb 17. These two young parents welcomed their baby girl Violeta on January 27,2023. Violeta was born happy, healthy, and with a bright future ahead of her. She made everyone fall in love with her every day – just take one peek at the pictures, she is the cutest!

Unfortunately, this past week, on March 15th, Violeta was rushed to the hospital because of SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome). Baby Violeta is a warrior, and she was not ready to go. She was resuscitated but suffered significant brain damage due to the lack of oxygen to her brain. Today, Violeta is in the PICU at the Dallas Children’s Medical Center fighting for her life – she is slowly recovering basic organ functions and we are all here with her. The doctors are continuously monitoring her brain activity and looking for any small improvement in her vital functions.

First and foremost, I would like to ask for your prayers because God’s will is the ONLY one that will determine Violeta’s future. Second, I’d ask that you help these two young parents to offset the expenses that they are accumulating while they are at the hospital with their baby girl. Donations received will

help pay for hospital bills, counseling for the young parents, food, lodging, transportation, and unforeseen expenses that are likely to come.

It is so hard to accept that this has happened to our baby Violeta. SIDS is the sudden and unexplained death of an infant less than 1 year of age. Please educate yourself on how to minimize the risk of SIDS for babies, here’s a good resource to find more information:
