Violeta was a beautiful daughter, sister, wife, teacher and friend.
My sister ended her long and painful battle with her rare cancer (Adnoid Cystic Carcinoma) on the morning of Tuesday, May 31st at her home in Bellflower, CA at the young age of 40.
Her journey began in 2008, and through the 8 years, endured brain surgery, chemo, steven johnson syndronme and 3 very intense couses of radiation, her positivty and infectious laugh never wavered. It seemed that she could never get a break always one thing after the other. In the last few months of her life, she was working out to finally go on disability and early retirement -the break she finally needed to find comfort in what areas of life she could.
Due to the severe side affects that her illness and treatment created, she unable to make it to work and there for recieve no salary to speak of in the past few months. The day she passed was her first day of not needing to go into work.
Although my sister was ill, she had a planned to be able to appreciate all the struggle she went through to finally make it to this point.
She dedicated her life to her husband Patrick, and her work, especially her students. She was a well loved teacher at University Highschool in Los Angeles, CA where she dedicated 15 years of her life, doing what she loved.
I am raising this money on behalf of my brother- in- law, Patrick Pacheco. This is to help with the cost of her funeral/memorial services. Due to the fact that all of the paperwork was pending from her disability, Patrick, who is ill himself, will be left without a livable income for quite some time as we are waiting to hear what will happen.
The Ponce and Pacheco families are very heatbroken at this time, and are only comforted in knowing that their BEAUTIFUL WARRIOR is in a better place of peace, love and light.
There are so many times I know my Sister and her Husband struggled, and she was too prideful to ask for help. So I am asking now, because I know my sisters kind and loving sprit deserves a bit of Karma coming her way...
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to learn more about who my sister was. She will forever live in our hearts.
