I am the proud father of Violet Patch. She was born with a heart murmur, which I later learn was a hole in her heart. As this is normally a typical thing that usually clears up, Violet has the hole in the center of the heart causing complications. This is such a rare placement of the hole that Violet needs to have the surgery at Stanford Children's Hospital. As many may know, because the levy did not pass I lost my teaching job. I am now a paraprofessional making $14 an hour. I did this to keep my insurance to help cover the majority of the costs. I have no idea how much will be covered and how much won't. The funds will go toward costs not covered by insurance as well as medical costs not covered. I was against doing this but my family and friends convinced me to do a GoFundMe.
