We are starting this fundraising for our dear friend Violet who has just been diagnosed with stage IV cancer. It has been a sudden and devastating news and we want to give her a helping hand.

I personally have known Violet for many years and we forged a deep bond over our years of trading at Portobello market, London.

Her brand Wholegrainhomes is the epitome of who she is: anchored in life and beauty, and deeply rooted in earth.

As she has to embark on the tortuous path of receiving chemotherapy, she needs to focus all her energy and efforts on fighting her aggressive cancer. This will make it impossible for her to continue working while undergoing treatment. She does not have any financial or family support here to help her while she stops trading. This is where we can all help.

Portobello market is a close-knit community and I truly believe in the power of solidarity.
