If you’ve ever stood beneath the live oaks of the Hill Country, felt the cool shade of their branches, or listened to the quiet hum of wildlife tucked away just out of sight, you know there’s something special here, something worth protecting.
Hill Country Conservancy (HCC) has spent years safeguarding the heart of Central Texas. What began as a mission to preserve land has grown into a promise: to protect the natural resources that sustain our region, our families, and our future.
Every time HCC partners with a landowner to conserve open space, it means more than keeping land untouched. It means cleaner water flowing through our springs, safe habitats for native wildlife, and less flooding in the communities we call home. These easements may sit quietly on private land, but their impact is felt by every single one of us.
And when HCC opens places like the Violet Crown Trail, stretching from Zilker Park all the way to Slaughter Creek, or the Nalle Bunny Run Wildlife Preserve along Lake Austin, they give us something priceless: a chance to step into nature, breathe deeply, and feel connected again.
But none of this happens without support. As a donor, your funds will be used in the following ways:
* Expansion of the Violet Crown Trail - Helping the VCT reach the ultimate goal of 30 miles
* Maintaining the Violet Crown Trail - Preserve our natural environment by removing waste
* Community engagement programs - Educate and inspire others to care for our environment
If you’ve ever watched a Texas sunset turn the sky gold, hiked a trail that made you feel more grounded, or simply hope your children inherit a world filled with open space, clean water, and thriving wildlife, your donation truly matters.
This is our chance to protect what we love together.
Please join us in supporting Hill Country Conservancy. Every gift helps keep the Hill Country wild, beautiful, and resilient for generations to come.
