In November of 2019 Violet was first diagnosed with Leukemia at the age of 4. She went through chemotherapy treatment for about 2 and a half years. Endured countless surgeries, chemo, medications, doctor visits, lab work, weight gain, weight loss, hair loss, and all with a smile on her face! She grew into this outgoing child before our eyes. Fought through it all with no complaints.
Fast forward to nearly 3 years later to the day, and Violet is back in the hospital after we found out that she ended up relapsing and her Leukemia has returned. It was a total shock to all of us. We have started treatment and Violet will need to get a bone marrow transplant in the next few months after a few more rounds of chemotherapy. We have started a more intensive approach with the hopes of the bone marrow transplant being successful and killing off all the cancer cells. It will be a long road ahead after the transplant, but we are very hopeful.
Being back in the hospital has put a hold in Violet being able to attend school, and I (mom) have to put my job on hold. That way I can be there for her at all times. With that comes some financial struggles for the family, with just her dad working. Any little thing can help us out tremendously. We are so very thankful for all the love and support that we have received from all our friends and family so far. Thank you to everyone that keeps Violet in their thoughts and prayer. It's beyond appreciated!!
