Hello friends, family, and of course, the entire community of Winchester, VA. My name is Will Martin and for as long as I can remember I have always dreamed of opening my own gym. I grew up here in Winchester and attended John Handley High School (class of 2014) where I was a member of the varsity football and baseball team. I later went on to pursue another dream of playing college football at McDaniel College where I was fortunate enough to play 2 years before health concerns ended my career.

 

Since college, I have been laid off twice, with the most recent being because of covid-19 back in June of 2020. Since that day, I decided to pursue that dream of opening a gym. It definitely hasn’t been smooth sailing, but I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, which is why I am back in my hometown of Winchester to chase this dream.

 

My goal with Vintage Iron is to create a community gym that prides itself on its variety of equipment, its culture, and of course being open 24/7 and surrounding yourself with likeminded people who want to better themselves physically and mentally, regardless of their starting point.

 

This Backer Program is solely for the cost of the equipment that YOU will be able to use once Vintage Iron is open (hoping summer of this year!) As you will see below, there are different tiers you can choose from, and if you decide to not go with either tier, that is totally okay, anything certainly helps! (Example of tier donations: if donate to tier 3, you would receive prize/description from Tier 1 & 2.)

 

I am excited to bring this gym to Winchester, as I and many other people I’ve interviewed, firmly believe it is much needed. If you haven’t met me personally yet, know I believe in working hard and won’t stop working until this is open. I look forward to meeting each and every new member and thank you for being a part of my dream.

Tier 4 - $500 name on Backer Banner Platinum
