Hi. My name is Vinny, formerly William. Most of the internet that knows me knows me as inkbarista. As things have changed in America I've found myself REALLY needing to move out of state to get away from the state I'm currently in. It's becoming less and less safe for me here, and just in time for me to have top surgery in June.
I will be down for recovery for two months and then I'm planning to move as soon as I possibly can. I've put my goal as $5000 and here's how it will be broken down:
-About $2-$2.5k will be to cover my bills while I'm recovering. I will be hopefully earning money in the meantime but this is more a cushion so I can also make sure I have food and stuff for both me and my dog in those months.
-The rest is to cover stuff like travel expenses, security deposits, application fees and potentially the first month or so of rent at the new apartment. Hopefully $5k will cover all that but like I said I'm hoping to also earn money through commissions in my down time.
Even if I were to stay, my employer has made it abundantly clear to me that I will probably be let go after surgery. I haven't been able to get a job due to my identity and I live in an extremely red state and feeling progressively more unsafe here. I would genuinely appreciate all the help I can get and I hope I can start a better life elsewhere where my life doesn't feel like it's at stake... nearly as much.
