Vinny was in San Jose on a travel gig and out to dinner with two of his Local One brothers when they were jumped and attacked by a large group two blocks from their hotel. Vinny was hit in the jaw and was sent to the hospital with a fractured jaw, plenty of bruises and many, many lost teeth. After four days in the hospital and a successful first surgery he is now home in New York recovering with his jaw wired shut for 6 weeks. Vinny has at least two months of lost work and a number of medical bills ahead of him and while the Ruggiero family is not one for handouts, we are rallying behind them to make sure this senseless act of violence does not set them back.
