Hey Everyone! A lot of you may know our friend Vinny from the South Coast growing up as teens or from his passion and love of skydiving. It’s with great sadness that I inform everybody that Vinny had a nasty accident tuesday up in Darwin. During a jump he had a crash landing and has suffered with some really nasty injuries. He snapped his left femur and broke his right ankle. He was rushed straight to the Royal Darwin Hospital where he underwent major surgery on his femur inserting a titanium rod to help his bones knit back together he’s still waiting to get surgery on his right ankle but has to wait until his body isn’t so swollen. He will have to wait 6 to 12 weeks for to start weight-bearing a further 6 months for normal function and 12 months of rehab and physiotherapy before a full recovery and potential surgeries to remove the ankle screws down the track. Unfortunately, with this accident comes some very harsh realities. Firstly Vinnie’s not gonna be able to use either of his legs throughout his recovery and is going to need help with the basic day today tasks at home he will not be able to work and that means no income yet he is still going to have rent utility bills and grocery shopping that he will still need to pay for during his recovery period. I’ve decided to make this go fund me to help alleviate some of the stress that Vinny is already having to deal with and rally up our friends and family and anyone else to would be willing to help with the financial stress. Times are already tough without having an accident and now there’s several other things that he will have to think about during this time so let’s get together and help him out and support our friend during this tough time.. any funds raised will go straight to Vinny directly to help mounting utility bills. we all love you mate and can’t wait for you to make a full recovery and start living life to the fullest like you always do.
