Sweet Vinnie's Intensive Care Fund

Donation protected
Hello world. This is Vincenzo (Vinnie) and he is only 16 months old. He is in the Pediatric Intesive Care unit at Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando Florida. This is his story....

On Friday February 19th he  went to his pediatrition for a well check and immunizations.  He was looked at, given 3 immuniztions and home he went. Later that evening he had some irritation at the sites of the shots and a fever. The following morning, Vinnie's mother Alexis went to leave the room he was in. She had a "feeling" that she should turn around and check on him. He looked up to her from his crib and immediatly his eyes rolled back and he went into a full seizure. He was taken by ambulance to Southlake Hospital. Along the way, the EMT's had to stop at the Groveland Fire Station to get help with intubating him... it took 3 tries. At the hospital, they couldn't stabalize him and he had to be flown by helicopter to Arnold Palmer. He is now in the PICU, heavily sedated, on a ventilator, on numerous medications, and fighting so very hard. As of now, all the doctors can tell us is that he is fighting 2 separate viruses. They cannot get more information until he is more stable and can get a proper MRI and further testing done. Through all of this, he has won over the nurses hearts in the PICU. His sweetness shines through.

Vinnie's parents, Travis and Alexis, have been at his bedside the entire time. Neither wants to leave his room and they sleep on tiny bed provided.
Vinnie also has a newborn brother Gavin. He was born on SuperBowl Sunday - February 7, 2016. Gavin had some minor medical issues upon birth and had an extended hospital stay. To date, this family has only had 2 days at home together. This has been an extremely stressful and emotional journey thus far. Because of the distance between hospital and home, baby Gavin has been staying with his Paternal Grandmother & Great Grandmother.  Travis'  Aunt's have been helping out financially and with Gavin as well. During all of this, Travis and Alexis find themselves having to move out of the home they are currently living in. They are living with some family and the situation has become very unhealthy. So above the medical crisis,  they also are essentially homeless.

We (Travis' family) are starting this fund to help with the cost of having to basically live from your sick child's hospital room, the extensive costs assocaited with Vinnie's health, costs of the newborn and living expenses once Vinnie is back on his little feet.

Any amount matters. Any amount helps.

Thank you for listening to Vinnie's story.
