We had to start a new GoFundMe. I got some nasty comments that I didn't share.
We are facing an uphill battle as the medical bills begin to pile on. It is very stressful as we navigate through this.
His story:
At age 9, we found that Vincent had inherited the colon cancer gene. He had some small polyps, and at the time, we found that UCSF did not have a pediatric gastroenterologist. We had a worried adult gastroenterologist, and I had to tell him that it is the same thing, only smaller. FAP is a very aggressive cancer. It means business once it gets started. I thought by having his colon removed, it would prevent any cancer growth, along with being vigilant when something is out of the ordinary and not putting it off, thinking it is something not so serious.
Here we are with another round of chemotherapy. "We are at the point where we can't get rid of the cancer; we can only try to slow it down." That is what his oncologist said. However, my faith is stronger than the fear, and I know we have to pray brave prayers. He hears us. I have encountered some who "hope" He will hear, but I know what He has brought me through, and my faith is in Him.
