Jim Vincent's Memorial Bench

"The clearest way into the Universe is through a forest wilderness." ~John Muir

Jim respected and treasured the wondrous beauty of California.  He was an avid consumer of the national/state parks, the beloved mountains, beaches, forests and deserts.

Jim was naturally curious about the land, the politics, and the history of California and was eager to impart his wisdom and vast knowledge to those willing to listen.

Jim cherished his life long experiences with California nature and with that in mind, the family wishes to create a memorial bench (in lieu of flowers and memoriams) to be placed at one of his favorite sites (of which there are many)!

"To find the universal elements enough;
to find the air and the water exhilarating;
      to be refreshed by a morning walk
          or an evening saunter;
      to be thrilled by the stars at night;
          to be elated over a bird's nest
                or a wildflower in spring
- these are some of the rewards of the simple life."
    -John Burroughs, Naturalist (1[phone redacted])
