Hi my name is Jeff Gold and I am fundraising for my good friend Vincent T. Vok. I have been friends with Vinnie for over 40 years. We met in Greenwich Village in the 70's both of us up and coming singer songwriters. Unfortunately in this day and age there is no way to make money from our art as it is all given for free and Vinnie has had many financial and health challenges for the past 4 or 5 years. Vinnie can't work because of his bad health and bad back.Because he never really worked a straight job he gets a very minimal amount from Social Security. Vinnie has been living above a bar on Staten Island with no heat with the promise that he could live there if he renovates the apartment but he is in no physical condition to do that .  Vinnie is now in the hospital with a serious infection and when he gets out he will need to find a decent place to live and will need money for a deposit and also for food as he has gotten very frail because he doesn't have enough money to buy food on a regular basis. Vinnie is a gifted Songwriter, Poet and Actor and many of the creative voices of my generation have fallen through the cracks and are destitute with few places to go for help. Please help my dear friend out with whatever you can donate. He will appreciate it more than you will know.
