Vincent Crider’s AVM and Stroke Fund
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Melissa and I am setting up a go fund me page for my Boyfriend Vincent Crider, who had an AVM (Arteriovenous Malformation) in his brain which caused a stroke 4 years ago today October 4th. He is trying to get this brace that will help him be able to use his right arm again. The insurance is giving him a hard time about paying for it, but we aren’t giving up. ☺️
Here is some information and the website to watch the video :

MyoPro is a powered orthosis (brace) that may help restore function in arms and hands paralyzed by a stroke, brachial plexus injury (BPI), cerebral palsy or other neuromuscular disease or injury.
It is currently the only marketed medical device that may restore an individual’s ability to perform activities of daily living, including feeding themselves, carrying objects and doing household tasks. Many are able to return to work, live independently and reduce their cost of care and rehabilitation.

Here is his story about it:
It started as a normal day, I was at my job as a pool cleaner we just finished closing a pool and the words I was saying started to get jumbled. I started to get into the car and I wasn’t making any sense to my coworker at the time and then I proceeded to go on the phone and my right arm went limp. My coworker noticed something was wrong and asked if I wanted to go to the hospital which I nodded yes. He took me to the hospital. All I remember was going in to the hospital and hearing my coworker explaining to the front desk of what was going on . Then all of a sudden my right leg went limp I went down and blacked out. The hospital we went to did not have the resources that I needed so they airlifted me to a different hospital which next thing I knew I woke up in a bed at that hospital with wires and tubes attached to me and a piece of my skull was gone not knowing what was going on. At that time I could no longer talk, I was so scared thank God my family was right there by my side. Many months of all the therapies (Speech,OT,PT), I can walk again with a cane, but my right arm is pretty much useless. I can also speak much better now. I need more therapy because of COVID had to put it on hold.
I am trying to get this brace that is robotic that helps with the nerves to move the fingers. Anyone that had no movement in the arms got this brace was able to do the things they use to do before their accident. I also want to drive again and need to take the disable driving test.
Anything helps!
If you cannot donate please share this so others may be able to help. I am so grateful that God let him live another year because I was able to meet my best friend the year after this happened❤️.
