Our beloved Vincent Maniaci suffered a stroke March 13 and was airlifted from Port Townsend to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Serious stuff—but he rallied quickly, by Monday was out of ICU and by Thursday morning moved to Harborview’s state-of-the-Art Rehabilitation Wing. Now he’s eagerly taking on the challenge of 3-6 hours/day of therapy for several weeks.
In addition to spiraling medical bills, Vince and Amanda face cascading costs for lodging in Seattle, extra transportation, and loss of income until they both can return to work.
