Hi everyone,

It has taken a lot out of me to finally sit and process everything my mom has gone through this past year.

My mother, Villasita, who many may know her as Emma, Ate V, Mamamita and Mama Emma was diagnosed with an incurable, stage 4, metastasis adenocarcinomas colon cancer on January 2022.

You’ll know if you have met my mom, her joy, determination and strength is incredible. Her energy, positivity and happiness is so contagious — she truly is full of life. She has gone through so much from raising me as a single mother at 33, working 5 jobs to provide the best life for us, battling and beating breast cancer when she was 35 years old, enduring the life-long challenges of Crohn’s disease since 2004 and now having to battle through metastasis adenocarcinomas. Through everything she has been put through in life, she continues to inspire us with her resilience. She never wants us to worry about her.

Not only has this illness brought her physical pain, it has brought her a great amount of stress emotionally and mentally. My mom is the most hardworking, selfless and motivated human I know. She will work, cook, clean and do everything in her will power to make sure we are taken care of. And because of this illness preventing her from physically working because of her ongoing chemotherapy treatments, it has put a huge strain on her financially.

We are fundraising for my mom to help alleviate the stress and worry of medical finances so she can focus on her treatments and live a full life. If you are able, your financial support would be a great gift to her and our family.
