Die Zukunft unseres spanischen Partnertierheims steht auf dem Spiel.

Wir sammeln Spenden, um ein anderes Objekt kaufen zu können, sodass die Tiere dort auch weiterhin Schutz finden.

Nothunde La Mancha e.V. ist ein gemeinnütziger Tierschutzverein.

Wir, die ehrenamtlichen Mitarbeiter, haben uns auf die Fahnen geschrieben, Hunden zu helfen, die rund um das Dorf Villamalea ausgesetzt oder zum Sterben zurückgelassen wurden. Seit 2010 setzen wir uns dafür ein, ein Zuhause für diese ungeliebten Tiere zu finden.

Die Animaleas, unser spanisches Team, betreut jeden Tag 60 Hunde und auch 30 Katzen. Jede freie Minute und all ihre Kraft widmen sie den Tieren, die oft verletzt, krank und verängstigt sind – eine anspruchsvolle Arbeit, die unseren spanischen Kollegen alles abverlangt. Doch sie lohnt sich: Die Freude, für einen Hund ein Zuhause gefunden zu haben, hilft dabei, trotz allen Kummers den Glauben an das Gute im Menschen zu bewahren.

Jetzt allerdings wird dieser Glaube auf eine harte Probe gestellt: Unser spanisches Tierheim soll geschlossen werden. Und der Bürgermeister von Villamalea ist nicht einmal bereit, den Animaleas bei der Suche nach einer neuen Unterkunft für die Tiere zu helfen. Vielmehr verweigert er sogar die Auskunft, wann das Tierheim geschlossen wird. In zwei Monaten? Nächste Woche? Diese Ungewissheit geht an die Substanz und erschwert die Arbeit um ein Vielfaches.

Doch gibt es einen Silberstreif am Horizont: Eine ehemalige Kaninchenfarm, die wir vielleicht kaufen könnten. Aber ohne Deinen Beistand geht es nicht. Deshalb appellieren wir an Deine Großzügigkeit. Mit Deiner Spende schenkst Du uns Hoffnung, diese bedrohliche Situation bald ändern und zum Guten wandeln zu können.

Welcome to the fundraiser to help Villamalea’s animals!

To put it bluntly ... we need money. A lot. And we need it now. The future of our Spanish associates animal shelter is at stake. We want to raise funds to buy another location so the animals will still be safe.

Nothunde La Mancha e.V. is a non-profit animal welfare organisation. We, the volunteer staff members, feel it’s our duty to help dogs that have been abandoned or left to die around the small Spanish village of Villamalea. Since 2010 we have worked hard to find new homes for those unloved animals.

The Animaleas, our Spanish team, have to care for 60 dogs, and also 30 cats every single day. They devote all their energy and every spare minute to those animals that are often found injured, severely ill, and frightened – it's very demanding work. But it’s worth all the stress and all the trouble. There’s nothing more rewarding than to see a dog finding its forever home. That’s what keeps us going and that’s what keeps our faith in humanity alive.

But that faith is put to the test right now: The Animaleas and all the animals are about to be evicted. The mayor of Villamalea won’t help to find another place. He doesn’t even want to tell us when the shelter is going to be closed down. Two months from now? Or next week? That uncertainty really takes a toll on us, so that the work gets even more difficult.

But there is still a silver lining: there is a former rabbit farm we might be able to buy. But that can't happen without your patronage. This is why we ask for your generosity. With your donation, you give us hope that we can reverse this threatening situation, and create something better.
