Village -Urgently seeking your help to save Kamryn

Hi There -  I am Kamryns’ mom Shannon.   Below these beautiful images, is the face of an Addict. 

The last photo you will see below was taken the day before Kamryn asked me sincerely for help on January 1,  2022    We are urgently asking for your help to facilitate her request for a hand up - to get well.   As a result of the past year - The government funded addiction programs now have a year long wait list for addiction help*. Thanks to so many of the crisis workers who have helped us during this "fire" We have found a private facility with a bed available tomorrow. * January 4th 2022.

Beautiful and Kind Kamryn Jordan experienced some of her earliest trauma by age seven - Our family has been enmeshed in trying to get help within a system that is so deeply overwhelmed, often inaccessible and entirely disconnected. With the current status of our health care shortage it has become immensely difficult - Kamryn has been formed(held at the hospital) 3 times and released three times over the past 6 months in under 8 hours.   I have worked to seek appropriate help for her for years and years and years. Counsellors, Neurologists, MD's, specialists, physcyatrists - who, many times, offered medications and mental health diagnoses in just 2 - 45 minute talk sessions.

Her mental well being has not been assessed in tandem with the other medical health issues she faced. I am out of ideas about how to get both hands to talk to each other.  As a single mom, it was immensely overwhelming, more that it was ever practically helpful. (Please know that we have also met dozens of kind, empathic and concerned care providers  along our journey, however, without a total picture it is impossible to connect all of the dots. I felt lost in an ocean.

Kamryn is a talented singer and was identified as math gifted in grade school.

......the combination of challenges she had previously faced and in her immature emotional state, high-school,  ate her alive. This beautiful, caring, kind soulful human got sucked into the rabbit hole of numbing with Alcohol and eventually cocaine. Kamryn has spent the last two years in almost a completely black out state drinking a dangerous amount of vodka Daily.......her life has spun out of control and  as a result of the associated addictive behaviours,  we lost our family home. The road has been excruciating and there are no words to describe the pain she and we, are all in.

Hope* -We have found a centre that will accept Kamryns' plea for help - TOMORROW January 4th 2022 and we need your help to pay them the fees for a 30 to 60 day detox and wellness/lifeskills program where she will be fully surrounded by the kind of guidance that she desperately needs .

We believe that addressing her "whole health" will be an effective approach.  Kamryn is fully ready to accept the help we have found for her.
