Village Support for Brent Smith

In 2013, our dearest friend, Brent, had a health scare. He was hospitalized and found out his kidneys were failing. For 6 years he has been on dialysis.  A year ago he received the call that his name was finally at the top of the transplant list.  3 days ago, he got the call he had been waiting for: that there was a kidney waiting for him!  He was immediately taken to the hospital and his surgery was a success!




While he is in recovery, we are asking for our village to take some of the stress and worry off of Brent so he can just focus on healing.  We want to help take care of his rent and his bills while he is in recovery.




For those of you who do not know, Brent is a dancer and choreographer.  In 6 years, he has not let his health condition impede on his passion in any way.  He has continued to perform, teach classes and produce shows for the Houston area.  Every year he gives back to the dance community by renting out a space and funding a showcase for choreographers around the country to present their work for free.  At this time, we would like to pour back into him just a portion of what he has given us.
