The Village School community is coming together to support one of our own during an immense loss.

Ashley, mother to two children here at Village School (grades 3rd and 7th), recently experienced a sudden tragedy.

On April 19, 2026, her partner, Kristi, died suddenly at home. She was a veteran who lost her battle with PTSD.

Ashley is also a veteran and a registered nurse who has been working part-time while recovering from a serious knee injury sustained last December. Now, she is navigating profound grief while caring for her three children and facing significant financial uncertainty. Because Ashley and Kristi were not legally married and there is no life insurance, the financial burden is immediate and overwhelming.

We are raising funds to help provide stability and support for Ashley and her family during this incredibly difficult time. Donations will go toward:

-Travel expenses for Kristi’s funeral in Arizona

-Immediate needs such as rent and groceries for the next 3 months

-A future security deposit for stable housing in a new space that isn't full of trauma

-Supplemental income while Ashley heals physically and emotionally

-Reducing financial stress over the coming months so the family can focus on healing
