Vikki’s Stage 4 Cancer Treatment

Hello everyone,
My beautiful partner, Vikki was diagnosed in May with Stage 4 Cancer with both BRAF and KRAS mutations. This type of cancer is rare and aggressive. She also has mets on her lymph nodes and liver.
Vikki is 45 and together we have 5 children, ranging in age from 2 to 13 years.
Vikki has just started her third line of treatment/chemo as her liver has not been responding and is growing more mets. The only option offered to Vikki to treat the cancer in her liver was SIRT as no trials are suitable at the moment.
Doctors recommend SIRT, an internal radiation, as this will give her the best chance of getting the mets on her liver under control.
This type of treatment will cost us $9000 as it is not covered by the PBS/Medicare. There is a possibility that Vikki may need this again sometime down the track.
With the raised cost of living, the fact that Vikki hasn’t been able to work since April, I’ve taken extended time off work to take Vikki to medical treatments and appointments, care for Vikki when she’s feeling unwell and look after our toddler during the day…it is a bit of a struggle to come up with the funds needed.
We are not normally ones to ask for help but we really do think SIRT is the best option and chance for Vikki to beat this horrible disease that Cancer is. Your generous donations will go towards the payment of this treatment.
Please note - Our children are not aware of Vikki’s diagnosis and we would like it to stay that way so please be discreet in conversations about this.
