Vikings for Nepal - rebuilding school for 200 students

Donation protected
In early October, more than 30 “Vikings” from around the world will travel to Nepal to take part in the 4th edition of the Nepal Cup, a charity football tournament first launched in 2015.

This year’s goal is to raise funds for the reconstruction of Amarpur Secondary School, located in eastern Nepal. The school has 204 students and 19 teachers, but its classrooms and facilities are in a dire state. The buildings are unsafe, there are no proper educational resources, and sanitary conditions are poor. To give the students a safe and supportive learning environment, we aim to build a new two-story building with six classrooms, along with a toilet block and improved educational facilities.

The Nepal Cup was born in the aftermath of the devastating 2015 earthquakes, when one of the Vikings, Kanchha, witnessed the urgent need for support in his homeland. The Asian Viking community—made up of more than eight Viking football teams across Asia—quickly rallied together. Since then, they have raised over DKK 900,000 and helped rebuild three schools in Nepal.

All proceeds go directly to the Human Practice Foundation, a Danish NGO dedicated not only to building schools but also to ensuring they deliver long-term educational impact. The tournament itself is fully funded by the players, so every donation directly supports the children of Nepal.

Thanks for your support in helping more than 200 Nepalese students get a new school and better education.
