In July 2026, Me and Olly will once again be hosting the annual charity football match in aid of the Viking Day Unit at QEQM Hospital.

The Viking Day Unit is a cancer support and chemotherapy unit that provides vital care and treatment for people across Thanet. It is a place that means a great deal to both of us. The incredible doctors, nurses and support staff cared for my mum during her battle with cancer, while Olly and his brother also received support throughout their own journeys. We have seen first-hand the compassion, dedication and kindness shown by the team, not only to patients but also to their families during some of the most challenging times of their lives.

Cancer affects thousands of people every year and while treatments continue to improve, the need for support never stops. Every day families are facing diagnoses, attending appointments, undergoing treatment and relying on services such as the Viking Day Unit. The work is never done, which is why fundraising and community support remain so important.

To help support the unit and the incredible work they do, we are organising the Viking Day Unit Charity Match at Margate Football Club on Saturday 18th July, 12PM kick-off.

Entry on the day will be £5 for adults and £1 for children aged 10 and under. There will also be raffle prizes to be won, with all proceeds and donations going directly towards supporting the Viking Day Unit.
