Vikas Singh - architecture batch IIT Roorkee 1995/6 passed away on Oct 15.  He died of a massive heart attack.  He is survived by his dependent parents, wife and a 9 year old son.  Although a capable architect and employee, he had not been receiving regular pay for the last two years that led to extreme financial and emotional duress and ultimately to this tragedy.  Shiva visited his family and soon realized that they require immediate and substantial financial support, to the extent that the child may have to give up school.  As a former classmate and friend, I appeal to you to contribute generously to the family to help them tide over this phase with dignity, while his wife is trying to secure a job to support her son and herself.
