On April 22th, Vijendra Naidu suffered a massive heart attack causing critical injuries to his heart. He initially was seen and treated at Swedish Edmonds, but in the middle of the night was rushed via ambulance to Swedish Cherry Hill. That is when he was put on life support. The medical team is working extremely hard around the clock trying to stabilize him.
If you have ever gotten the opportunity to meet Vijendra Naidu or the pleasure of knowing him it’s something you couldn’t forget. He is a true sports fanatic, sports are his life, favorite words: TOUCH DOWN! Favorite football team the Miami Dolphins.
He loves to share stories of building iconic structures in Seattle as a construction worker through the Carpenters Union. He’s dedicated his life to building this city, to name a few the I-90 tunnel and bridge, Safeco Field, reconstruction of Roosevelt High School, and many more.
It is an understatement to say that he was larger than life. A person that didn’t know what malice meant. He always saw the best in people and constantly encouraged others to live life to their full potential. Vijendra Naidu would put a smile on anyone’s face, just as you could always find a smile on his. He has endless stories of growing up on Broadway, Capitol Hill in the 1970’s complete with a moral of the story or give you a good laugh.
A very loving husband and father of three children, but not limited to. As every child, friend, and family member internationally refers to him as “Daddy, Biju, Vee, or VJ”
In this world he is truly one.of.a.kind.
At this time, his family would immensely appreciate any and all help, as his stay in the CICU will be a long one.
