View from the Moon EP release fundraiser

Hey friends!! Thanks for being here, this campaign is an experiment in selling my digital music outside the corporate music streaming services... and also a fund generator to raise money for a new TOUR VEHICLE so I can get back out on the road and share my new music!

 

So, heres the deal.

 

Right before COVID shut down my music career for a year and a half; I had just released a new album called "Let Go" and was in Australia on tour sharing this music when we got informed we had to return to the USA because the world was about to shut down. I had 120 tour dates set up for the summer of 2020 through Australia and the USA to promote and share the Let Go album, but all those dates canceled basically on the same weekend.

 

Touring is the main means most of us independent musicians have to re-coup money we spend on our recordings and the COVID pandemic shut me out from being able to share and re-coup my investment on the last record! Truly a lesson in letting go. This left me in massive debt both financially and energetically and I really attempted to walk away from my music career and see what else I could offer this world with my life... This was an exitensial crisis mixed with a little "mid-life" variety. A truly dark time.

 

During this collective and personal darkness of COVID 2020, I began to work on a new collection of songs with my friend Aaron Reed in Southern Oregon, as we all waited out the pandemic lock downs. The work we did in his home studio for fun turned into a very deep body of work that is now available as a finished EP called "View from the Moon". I truly feel this is some of the most honest music I have ever recorded.

 

As the world began to reopen, I was booked for a short tour in California and Catalina Island for the Fourth of July Week of 2021, while making my way to the first of these shows the engine in my Subaru blew up!!!!

 

 

AH! letting go has become an art form during these times!

 

So here I am today. I have basically two new albums that need to be heard and toured. I have no tour vehicle and I'm unable to take the out of town shows that support this independent music career of mine. I do have new music that you might be interested in hearing and I'm hoping you'll donate some funds towards my cause so I can put a down payment on a new (used) tour van and get back out on the road anmd pay off some debt I have for these two albums I made.
