Vietnam Veteran Seeking Community Help

Hello, my name is Ross Nagle. I am a veteran of the Vietnam war and a long-time Truckee resident. For the last 50 years, I have lived in my historic home on High St in downtown Truckee. My home was built in 1894 and is the former office of the Richardson Brothers.

I have been trying to bring the dreams and vision I have for my home to fruition over the past few decades. However, this winter was very tough on me, I had both of my knees replaced around the holidays and I could not keep up with the snow we received. Unfortunately, this and numerous other factors have resulted in my home becoming unsafe for me to live in. I have been working with the Town of Truckee to come up with a timeline to get back into my home but I have realized that several projects require more than I am able to do on my own.

It has taken a lot for me to get to this realization but I now know that I am in need of assistance to make my home safe for me to reside in again, and to preserve this historic gem of downtown Truckee. The most important needs this summer will be a roof and windows and any funds donated will go to the restoration of my home. I am truly appreciative of any help anyone can offer.
