Who this will help

My name is Sona and together with my friends Danasamudra and Carunalaka, we want to provide Vidyamala with the mobility and independence that she has not had for many decades.

Why I'm fundraising

Vidyamala has never let her disability get in the way of sharing herself, her practice and her understanding, in particular of mindfulness, with thousands of people worldwide. She has worked tirelessly to help others live well.

She now lives in the country and would love to be able to enjoy it without needing assistance everywhere she goes. So some of us got together to see if we could find the money to buy her a motorised add-on to her wheelchair called a Triride. This would give her unlimited access to a garden office and would mean that she could come and go independently from Adhisthana, her neighbouring retreat centre, independently. She could also go out in the country and over the Malvern Hills without having to be pushed. How wonderful would that be!
