Our kids are graduating from high school but because of COVID-19, there won’t be a traditional ceremony, just a virtual one. On Friday, May 23, the seniors will be able to participate in a “Senior Drive,” where they will be able to pick up their cap and gown and diploma covers. (Their diplomas will be mailed to them later.) Only one family per senior and we have to stay in the car the entire time. As part of the senior drive, Atherton teachers will line the drive and students will have a chance to say thank you and goodbye to teachers and staff who have made a difference in their lives. Again, this all has to be done through the car, through social distancing. No hugs, no contact. We won’t be able to get out of the car to take photos or video.
As parents, we would really like to have this event photographed and videotaped so that our kids will have a nice moments— something to remember this day by. This will be the last time they will see their teachers and their school. Any help is appreciated, we realize this is short notice but after receiving quotes from some videographers we didn’t know what else to do in order to make this a reality.
Thank you in advance.
