We are hosting streams of content daily, watch and participate on videogamedesignclub.com
I'm a small business that teaches kids ages 8 to 18 how to design video games, normally in person. There's no company paying my bills and I strive to provide quality sessions and lessons that normally takes place in person. I pay my rent, part time employees, my benefits, etc.
I'm not hurting bad yet like others. But I want to keep doing this. I have other sources of income but like other people I'm working to keep those a float.
If you're a member of the Club or a visitor, I appreciate your attention and participation. There's very few people that teach kids game design on a regular monthly basis. It is the BEST way to show that STEM careers are fun. If I can raise more than my goal, I'd like to put it toward doing more online. My biggest goal is to create a thriving online community of young designers.
I'll be streaming to Twitch and building a Discord channel. For those who are members, contribute what you can, especially if you can afford to pay similar to what normal sessions cost.
Here's what we will be doing this month-
If you are visitors and you or your child enjoyed a stream or like what I'm doing, please consider contributing.
Everything you give is deeply appreciated. I believe social distancing should only apply to physical contact. We cannot abandon each other. I will not abandon my members, the precious children of my families, to a solitary month of loneliness and helplessness. If they can build a game, they gain confidence that we all, together, can build a future.
