Since January 2020, 15 teens have overdosed and 2 have died in Pasco County.
Many are silently screaming for help through their destructive decisions and criminal behaviors to escape the pain from childhood trauma and pain.
What if you could offer the solution? What if your support could save a life? What if your time offers the hope that one student needs to sustain their precious life another day? What if YOU are the missing link to this masterpiece?
Together, we will empower these worthy educated sober leaders!
OUR CAUSE
Florida Recovery Schools of Tampa Bay, Inc. a registered non-profit organization in Florida and 501(c)3 non-profit organization with the IRS, with YOUR support, develop a safe, positive therapeutic school for ages 14-19 seeking recovery from substance use disorders or co-occurring disorders.
OUR SERVICES
Our school will enroll young people as described at the start this story. An array of life changing classes will be held weekly during school such as 12 step Yoga sessions, Expressive Art Therapy, Creative Writing and Physical Fitness classes to name a few. With our therapeutic services such as individual and family therapy, 12 step support groups, accountability through random drug screens, mentorships and high-quality education, our students will receive a second chance they so deserve. Our practices will build protective factors, implement appropriate and effective individualized intervention and treatment plans of the youth and family while enhancing public safety and ultimately preparing youth for success.
SUCCESSFUL OUTCOMES OF OTHER RECOVERY SCHOOLS
Recovery High Schools turn the most powerful force impacting students - peer pressure - from a negative to a positive through meaningful mentorship. Recovery Schools report that students’ academic performance is significantly improved because of the cessation of drug/alcohol use. Recovery High Schools have been shown to be the most successful method for achieving long-term recovery among adolescents. The over 40 Recovery Schools in existence today, report long-term sobriety of over 80% among their students.
Our students’ story will be transformative and they will become community assets and law-abiding citizens; valued and worthy of their best life.
Because you care about the needs of our young people struggling with addictions, you can donate to make a difference.
Because you give, your seed funds strengthen the development of Florida Recovery Schools of Tampa Bay, Inc. educational and therapeutic goals for our youth.
Your tax-deductible donation will allow us to begin with:
Phase 1 & 2: $150,000
Secure a location
Development phase of school
Renovate building to a therapeutic educational environment
Community awareness
Recovery advocacy
Furnish classrooms and counseling offices
Hire Staff so we can open in January 2021!
Because you donate, you help to: support operations and development to generate progress in building a healing school and to transition a vision into reality.
As you can see, we cannot do this alone. We need you!
Together, we are helping to educate youth in recovery from addictions and building a safe therapeutic environment.

Why do I do this?
I am so passionate about this cause because I took the hard road to become an expert.
I celebrate 22 years of recovery from substances, graduated with a Bachelors Degree and worked over 21 years in social work, education and juvenile justice. Today, I am an author of 5 books, National Motivational Speaker, Clean Comedian and Staff Development Trainer.
Our students will receive 2 things no one will ever be able to steal from them: recovery and education.
Sincerely,
Tina Levene
