Vicki Pillow was struck by a bus on October 28, 2016. Vicki is 64 years old, and after 20+ years of being a public servant, she had her sights set on a retirement picture that has significantly changed. Mom is currently in intensive care at the best Trauma center in the nation. She has had multiple surgeries, which include amputation of her right foot and reconstruction of a shattered pelvis. She still needs surgery for a broken femur/hip, and the multiple spinal fractures and broken ribs will be left to time to heal. Her spleen has been removed. A laceration of her liver has been repaired. She currently has a tracheotomy, but we are hoping that is temporary. Though Mom does have excellent health insurance, the expenses are still going to be astronomical, especially as she continues to beat the odds and will have skilled nursing needs. We have been absolutely overwhelmed by love and prayer and charity since that tragic morning, so if you feel led to contribute any or all of those things, we would be grateful.
