Hi everyone! In the off chance you don't already know me, I'm Victor Lopez.

I was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma or Stage 4 colon cancer in August 2024. Since then, I have had a hemicolectomy in November to remove a 2.5 inch tumor. The surgeon removed about 14 inches of my colon, which included 20 lymph nodes, 9 of which were positive for metastatic carcinoma.

I started chemotherapy in November on a treatment plan of 12 infusions.

There was also a lesion on my liver for which I had to travel from Midland to Dallas for another surgery in February 2025. The surgeon performed a laparoscopic ablation to remove the lesion.

Scans and reports show my abdomen and liver are clear of any tumors or new growths. I have started my chemo treatments, which were put on hold a month before the liver ablation. I have 5 more treatments to go and hopefully and by God's will, be done with it all.

While insurance has done is share to pay for my treatments, I am stuck with my out of pocket expenses. This includes balances at the cancer clinic where I get my chemo treatments as well as the hospital where I had the liver ablation. I am also having to make regular trips, every 3 months, to Dallas for follow-up visits and MRI's to make sure everything is still okay.

As many of you know, air fare and hotels are not cheap. Then you throw in Uber to get places. My credit cards are crying for help.

I'm not asking for anyone to donate. But if you feel so inclined, I won't turn it down. I will be eternally grateful. If you cannot contribute, a thought and a prayer is always good, too.
