Victor's fight with COVID

Hello Family, Friends, Co-Workers & Supporters;

On August 13th, 2021, our good friend Victor was admitted to the hospital with symptoms of COVID-19; which ultimately tested Positive. After being in the hospital for about two weeks, I finally received a positive text from Victor stating the doctors are happy with his progress and he could possibly be released over the weekend. On Saturday August 30th I texted Victor a few times with no response. Concerned, I contacted his wife Judith who told me Víctor had taken a turn for the worse! Our most horrible fears came true as Judith told me he was transferred to the ICU where he was intubated and placed on a ventilator.

As of today, Sept 10, 2021, Victor is still on a ventilator and his prognosis has been like a roller coaster; up & down!

Victor and Judith Rodriguez, both from Nicaragua, came to the United States in 2005 to live the American dream.

For those of you who know Victor & Judith, they will give you the shirts off their backs! They both work their tails off to support themselves and their family back in Nicaragua. Judith works for a cleaning company and Victor worked his way up the ladder to become head of Maintenance at the Westward Gardens Community along with his many “side-jobs”! Anyone in Westward Gardens will tell you Victor always has a smile on his face and will drop whatever he is doing to help others!!

As anyone can imagine, the financial strain due to the medical care Victor is receiving is immense. Insurance has only covered a fraction of the cost and Judith is receiving bill after bill.
